Hamilton Should Remain On $10 Bill, New York Attorney General Says

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- After the U.S. Treasury Department publicly announced its decision to replace or diminish Alexander Hamitlon on the $10 bill, New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman shared his views in an opinion piece in the Daily News.

Schneiderman glorifies Hamilton, calling him a 'great New Yorker,' and giving details on how Hamilton endured a difficult and poor childhood, only to strive forward and continue to support the greater good of the country.

According to Schneiderman, the U.S. Treasury should switch its focus and replace the $20 bill's Andrew Jackson, as he may not be an ideal representative for the nation.

In Schneiderman's opinion, better candidates for the $20 bill include Eleanor Roosevelt or Frances Perkins, the first woman appointed to the president's Cabinet.
