According to a statement from the hospital, Israel's Minister of Health Rabbi Yaakov Litzman walked much of the new 5,500-square-foot eHealth center, which features 20 multimedia stations equipped with the latest in telehealth patient monitoring technology.

Litzman then met with eHealth center employees, who staff the facility 24 hours each day, according to the hospital.

"These professionals serve as a complement to the dedicated, bedside teams caring for Westchester Medical Center Health Network patients in network intensive care units and other clinical areas," hospital officials said in a statement released Wednesday.

Westchester Medical Center is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth).

According to WMCHealth officials, the 895-bed hospital in Valhalla provides advanced care across the Hudson Valley. It is one of 10 hospitals in the WMCHealth network, which employs 12,000 people.
