VALHALLA, N.Y. -- The Kensico Dam Plaza hosted the Westchester Italian-American festival this past weekend, but there are plenty more heritages to celebrate this summer.
Each festival features food and entertainment unique to the culture being celebrated and will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal so bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn.
All of the festivals are held at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, unless otherwise noted.
Check out the schedule for the rest of Westchester's summer heritage festivals:
- Irish, July 14, noon to 7 p.m., Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale
- Polish, July 14, noon to 6 p.m.
- Hispanic, July 21, noon to 7 p.m.
- Jewish, July 28, noon to 6 p.m.
- Indian, Aug. 4, 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This year's ethnic festivals were made possible thanks to a generous contribution from Friends of Westchester County Parks, a nonprofit organization that supports the county's parks and programming, according to the Westchester Parks website.
