Get Tips From Hawthorne's Rosedale Nurseries Native Plant Center Benefit

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- Hawthorne residents looking to spruce up their yard or get it ready for the fall can get a few pointers when Rosedale Nurseries in Hawthorne hosts it Native Plant Center benefit.

The benefit will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 13 at Rosedale Nurseries, 51 Saw Mill River Road.

Personal shoppers will help customers choose the proper native plants for their gardens from a variety of indigenous trees, shrubs and perennials, as well as grasses and ferns. Go Native instructors will give four educational talks during the weekend with two on each day. The nursery will donate a percentage of the event’s proceeds to the Native Plant Center.
