The Bake Sale runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 14 at 443 Commerce St. in Hawthorne. All of the proceeds go directly to fund more effective and less toxic methods to treat Pediatric Cancers.
"We're just like you. We're parents, grandparents, daughters, sons, students, retirees...you name it. But the one thing we all have in common is our dedication to change," representatives said. "Cancer is an illness with no boundaries. The more support we have, the bigger impact we can make. Together. Thank you for your support."
Santa Claus is also set to make an appearance during the sale. Several Mount Pleasant businesses also contributed to the sale to allow for a Silent Auction. Berger Hardware will have 15 items ranging from a Benjamin Moore Paint to a brand new children's bicycle. In addition, the housewares company OXO will be matching the fundraiser. GLAD has also agreed to donate $1 for every cookie baked.
