HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- More than 50 athletes came together at Crossfit XT in Hawthorne to help raise funds and awareness of autism.
The Lift Up Autism fundraiser was held at more than 650 crossfit gyms across the country. After making a donation, athletes were given five minutes to perform as many rounds and repetitions of specific exercises as possible.
Each round consisted of 4 Power Cleans, 24 Double-Unders (having the rope pass twice beneath your feet for each jump) and 10 Pull-Ups. The event culminated in the athletes having a barbecue.
