A 100-mile route will take riders from New York City to Bear Mountain and back, while a companion non-competitive ride will go only one way. The event will raise money for Operation Smile, an international children’s medical charity.
The entire length of Hudson Terrace will be shut down from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., and all local traffic east of Sylvan Avenue (Route 9W) toward Hudson Terrace will be closed.
Among the other closures:
7:30 – 9:30 a.m.
PIP southbound Interchanges 3 and 4 (off ramp);
Northbound Interchange 4.
7 a.m. – 5 a.m.
PIP north- and southbound Interchange 2 (northbound, use Interchange 4; southbound use Route 9W);
PIP southbound Hudson Terrace ramp (alternate traffic pattern in place south of Sunoco station);
9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
PIP southbound Interchange 1 access to eastbound Palisade Avenue;
Access to the Palisades Interstate Park for Alpine Boat Basin restricted to boat owners only;
Access open only through Edgewater line for Ross Dock and Englewood Boat Basin.
(Ross Dock and Englewood Boat Basin will be open but will close when capacity is reached.)
Access to the Palisades Interstate Park via Dykman Hill (east end of Palisade Ave).
There will also be closures on 9W:
7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Northbound at Closter Dock Road;
Southbound Route 9W access to Interchange 2
(Boat owner access to Alpine Boat Basin by permit/placard only.)
Traffic will also be shifted on southbound Route 9W south of Kiku Restaurant.
