Kensico Dam Plaza In Valhalla Presents Jewish Music And Arts Festival

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Westchester County will wrap up its series of cultural heritage celebrations for 2015 at Valhalla’s Kensico Dam Plaza by celebrating the 41st Annual Jewish Music and Arts Festival of Westchester.

The season finale runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Kensico Dam Plaza, 1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla.

The afternoon will include musicians such as headliner Booby Doowah, Welt from the Jewish Community of France, Westchester Klezmer, Cantor Randy Herman with members of Kol Hazzanim and Nafshenu Orchestra, featuring Israeli dancing by Camp Zeke. Face painting, balloon artistry by Maria and children’s activities with the PJ Library will also highlight the event.

Vendor exhibition and booths will consist of Jewish art, Judaica and kosher food. Admission and parking are free. Event organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or chairs for lawn seating.
