Breaking Ground Dance Registration: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Breaking Ground Dance Studio in Pleasantville will hold an open registration for all its upcoming dance classes. Prices for classes vary. 101 Castleton St., Pleasantville.

Preschool Story Time: 11 a.m. The Mount Pleasant Public Library in Pleasantville will host a free story time for preschool students. 350 Bedford Road, Pleasantville.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Halloween Costume Swap: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Pleasantville Recycles will host the first Pleasantville Halloween costume swap at the Memorial Plaza gazebo. The swap is free to attend, and residents may donate and take costumes as they please. Those who plan to attend are advised to bring their own shopping bags. Memorial Plaza, Pleasantville.

WCC Financial Fitness Course: 7 p.m. Westchester Community College will host a financial fitness course for residents to learn how to properly budget and be fiscally responsible. Registration is $55. 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla.

Sunday, Oct. 7

Footsteps for Families Walkathon: 9 a.m. The Ronald McDonald House in Valhalla will hold its second annual Footsteps for Families Walkathon to help benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Registration is $10 in advance, $15 on Sunday. 1 Woods Road, Valhalla.
