THORNWOOD, N.Y. – Here is a list of events that are scheduled to take place this week around Mount Pleasant, including government meetings and community happenings.

Monday, Oct. 8

Pleasantville Board of Trustees Meeting: 8 p.m. The Pleasantville Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting Monday at Village Hall in Pleasantville. The meeting will be preceded by a public work session at 7 p.m. 80 Wheeler Ave.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

Elementary PTA Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Mount Pleasant Central School District’s elementary PTA will hold a regular meeting Tuesday at Columbus Elementary School. All current members and those wishing to become new members are welcome to attend.  580 Columbus Ave., Thornwood.

Town Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The Mount Pleasant Town Board will hold a regular public meeting Tuesday night at Town Hall in Valhalla.  1 Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

Electon Registration: 5 to 9 p.m. Mount Pleasant residents can register to vote for the upcoming election at Town Hall on Wednesday. 1 Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla.

Board of Education Work Session: 7:30 p.m. The Mount Pleasant Central School District Board of Education will hold a regular public work session at the district office in Thornwood. 825 Westlake Drive, Thornwood.

Thursday, Oct. 11

Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting: 8 p.m. The Mount Pleasant Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public meeting Thursday at Town Hall in Valhalla. 1 Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla.
