VALHALLA, N.Y. – Here is a list of events that are set to take place this weekend around Mount Pleasant, including a movie under the stars and farmer’s market.
Friday, Aug. 3
Movie Under the Stars: 8 p.m. Westchester County Parks will host a movie under the stars – "Smurfs" – at the Kensico Dam Plaza Friday night in Valhalla. Admission and parking are free. Moviegoers should bring their own blankets or lawn chairs. 2 Broadway, Valhalla.
Saturday, Aug. 4
Pleasantville Farmer’s Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pleasantville Farmer’s Market will be held at the Memorial Plaza parking lot where various fruits, vegetables and other goods will be on sale. Manville Road, Pleasantville
Hands-on Gardening: 11 a.m. The Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills will hold a gardening course and offer a tasting of some the farm's vegetables and herbs. Admission is $10. 630 Bedford Road, Pocantico Hills.
Sunday, Aug. 5
Livestock Tour: 1 p.m. Take a look at the animals of the Stone Barns Center on this livestock tour of the farm. 630 Bedford Road, Pocantico Hills.
