To help Westchester County residents learn more about screening, prevention and treatment of this dangerous disease, White Plains Hospital is hosting its annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Forum to help inform and educate the public.
Currently in its fifth offering, the symposium will focus on early pancreatic cancer detection and survival. A panel of oncological doctors, surgeons and other staff will address a variety of aspects associated with the disease, ranging from diet and nutrition to genetic testing and recent research updates.
The symposium will be held on Friday. Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at White Plains Hospital's Center for Cancer Care. The event is free and open to the public and breakfast will be served. To register, call 914-849-7500.
