Cooler weather sends some avid outdoor exercisers inside for the season, and many choose area malls as staging grounds for walking. Friday, Nov. 4, Sara Oppenheim-Sommerville, a health and wellness group leader from the Visiting Nurse Services in Westchseter, will be at The Westchester in White Plains to discuss healthy, low-sodium diets with these “health walkers” and anyone else who is interested in learning how to eat better.

Oppenheim-Sommerville will also give people the skinny on what prepared food labels really tell you, and discuss the importance of your Body Mass Index (BMI) and offer weight-loss tips that won’t leave you hungry. She’ll even serve up some tips on how to make your favorite breakfast better for you.

The program begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Food Court on Level 4, and admission and parking are free for members of the mall walk program. Call (914) 864-7077 for details.
