McGilvray has a field camera set up in his backyard with a motion sensor and has captured a number of wildlife shots over the years.

But Saturday morning when he stepped out to his backyard and looked at his photos, he saw that it had - just moments earlier - captured the shot of a bobcat. In fact, it was his footsteps that had the cat looking over its shoulder, then heading quickly away into the woods.

"To see the photos, and realize that it was only about 30 yards away from me... and I never saw it," McGilvray told Daily Voice. "That was a big cat, but it's beautiful."

McGilvray said he has seen a similar cat - about 10 years ago, also in his backyard,

"I've always known there are lots of animals back there," he said. "My neighbor has pictures of a bear in his backyard."
