JFK's Granddaughter Marries Medical School Student From Area

A fourth-year medical student from the area married his Yale college sweetheart on Saturday — the granddaughter of the late President John F. Kennedy, according to multiple reports.

Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, married fellow Yale graduate George Moran, a Greenwich native, on Saturday on Martha's Vineyard.

Tatiana Celia Kennedy Schlossberg and George Winchester Moran of Greenwich, Conn., were married Sept. 9 at the bride’s family home on Martha’s Vineyard, according to People. Deval L. Patrick, the former governor of Massachusetts, officiated.

Moran was a member of the Class of 2007 at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, where he was a member of the crew team. He graduated from Yale, where he also rowed crew, and is now a fourth-year medical student at Columbia University in New York, People.com said. 

Schlossberg, 27, and Moran, 28, met at Yale, and both graduated with distinction, according to their wedding announcement at the New York Times.

Moran is a son of Greenwich's Mary J. Penniman, treasurer of the board of Natural Resources Defense Council, and Garrett M. Moran, president of Year Up in New York, a nonprofit organization that provides training to low-income high school graduates, according to People.com. He previously was chief operating officer of the investment firm Blackstone, People.com said.

Until July, Schlossberg had been a reporter at The New York Times, covering climate change and the environment.

She is the daughter of Caroline B. Kennedy and Edwin A. Schlossberg and a granddaughter of President Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. She has an older sister, Rose, 28, and a younger brother Jack, 24.
