Classic, traditional options, along with newfangled flavors, can be found in all corners of Westchester with a number of versions served a variety of ways (hello whipped cream, fudge, sprinkles and waffle cones).

You, however, picked five nominees for the best ice cream in the county, meaning now's the time to nail down the winner.

Voting is open until Friday; go here to cast your ballot.

In the meantime, here's the "scoop" on why this one is so DVlicious.

King Kone, Rte 35 & 100, Somers, (914) 232-0571

Years in Business: 62 years

What Makes Their Ice Cream Special: It's an old fashioned recipe, said Deb Hopkins, a Katonah resident who owns King Kone with her husband, Brian.

The nostalgic ambiance also adds some old-fashioned charm. "It's one of the few places that hasn’t been torn down and made into a strip mall," said Hopkins. "I think coming here makes people feel like they are kids again."

Number of Flavors: Three soft serve flavors, 18 hard flavors that rotate from a selection of 40.

Most Popular: King Kone is famous for its soft serve – vanilla, chocolate or twist. Mint chocolate chip is the most popular hard flavor followed by salty caramel pretzel and almond joy; vanilla is the most popular soft.
