What Makes It Patty Perfect: Its signature charbroiled 10-ounce Mount Pleasant Burger is made with certified Black Angus beef, cheddar, crispy bacon, roasted garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, and red onions and comes with fries, onion rings … or a little bit of both.
The burgers are so ginormous that some diners can only stuff down half. (If you really CAN’T manage, order the smaller cheeseburger sliders.)
Johnny’s Bronx Burger, a customer fav, is topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and homemade chipotle sauce on a rustic roll. The patty choices are many; among them are one made with black beans for veggie lovers and another topped with a bacon and egg. The Pattie Melt arrives on grilled rye bread and sautéed onions and Swiss cheese. To forego the carbs, get your burger on a salad.
The eclectic restaurant was created from a 1910 B&O caboose, an 1896 Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway car and the original train station. You can still get a sense of the last one from the eatery’s A-frame ceiling and wide-planked floors.
