He will be recognized at The American Cancer Society's 25 Annual Diamond Gala, on Friday, Sept. 16 at LIFE The Place To Be in Ardsley.
“This award is presented annually to an individual or business in the region who has demonstrated an unyielding commitment to the fight against cancer,” according to Jackie Walsh, Senior Development Manager for the Society. “Dr. Gordon’s leadership, passion and dedication for twenty-five years has helped inspire hope for hundreds of cancer patients in and around Westchester County.”
“Dr. Gordon is a highly skilled surgeon who demonstrates kindness and compassion to everyone he meets. When he is caring for you, he makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world,” said Una Hopkins, Administrative Director of the Cancer Program at White Plains Hospital. “He is a leader among his peers, admired by those who work with him in and out of the OR and highly recommended to others by his patients; the highest recommendation any medical professional can achieve.”
Tickets for the evening of dinner and dancing are available at $300 or two for $550 by contacting Jackie Walsh at jacquelyn.walsh@cancer.org or calling (212) 237-3811.
