OSSINING, N.Y. Alice Budney Camp, a lifelong resident of Ossining, died May 18 at her home. She was 82.
Camp was born Sept. 30, 1929, in Ossining to John and Josephine Motheral Budney. She graduated from Ossining High School in 1947. Later that year, she became secretary to the president of Bank for Savings in Ossining. Camp continued to work with the bank through its expansion and retired from Wachovia Bank as branch manager in Thornwood.
In her retirement, she volunteered at the Trinity Church thrift shop. Camp enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking monthly trips to Atlantic City, N.J., with her lifelong friends.
Camp was predeceased by her husband, Leroy "Riggy" Camp; a sister, Helen MacDonald; and two brothers, Robert and Jack Budney. She is survived by a son, Gregory J. (Theresa) Camp; a daughter, Rosemary Camp; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St Ann's Church in Ossining. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
