VALHALLA, N.Y. - Vincent J. DeAngelis of Valhalla died Dec. 31 at Hebrew Hospital Home on Westchester. He was 81
He was born Aug. 2, 1930 in Yonkers to the late John and Ascenza DeAngelis. After graduating from Yonkers High School in 1949, he served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
For 25 years, DeAngelis worked for the County of Westchester Department of Engineering in White Plains. He was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Library Board, Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club, the American Society for Hospital Engineering and the Thornwood American Legion.
DeAngelis is survived by his wife Barbara DeAngelis of Valhalla, his daughters Janet (David) Andrews and Elizabeth (Tim) Kennedy of South Salem, his brother Albert (Frances) DeAngelis of Somers and five grandchildren.
Visitation hours are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home . Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
