Plenty to do in Mount Pleasant this Weekend

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The Fourth of July weekend isn't all about barbecues and fireworks. There are plenty of other events and activities to take part in this weekend in the Mount Pleasant area. Here is a list of just a few.

Head over to the Mount Pleasant Public Library and check out the photography exhibit by Robert Uricchio. This photographer has some amazing work and the display will be open to visitors during the library's operating hours.

Friday night go to Lucy's Lounge in Pleasantville to check out Andrew Bordeaux in concert. The show starts at 10 p.m.

Saturday morning stock up on vegetables, fruit and other items at the Pleasantville farmers market. The market in the Memorial Plaza off Manville Road opens at 8:30 a.m.

Don't feel like watching fireworks on the Fourth? Head to Lucy's Lounge Monday night to see Petey Hop Hopkinson perform live music. The show starts at 9 p.m.

If you are looking for fireworks, the annual Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks show is Sunday night and admission and parking are free. On Monday, Mount Pleasant will hold its annual 4th of July Extravaganza and Bell Ringing Ceremony at the town pool. Admission is free with proof of residence.
