Everett Woman's Death Caused By Medical Procedure Performed At Somerville House: DA A 35-year-old Everett woman died last week after having a liposuction procedure conducted at a home in Somerville, authorities said. A second woman was hospitalized after having the same procedure there. Police were called to the 35-year-old's Bucknam Street home on Friday, May 10, to reports of a person in medical distress. Paramedics rushed her to CHA Everett, where she was pronounced dead, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Man Found Shot Dead In Springfield ID'd As 49-Year-Old A 49-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a shooting on Friday, May 10, in Springfield, authorities announced. Gustavo Cartagena, of Springfield, was found shot in the 60 block of Locust Street just after 1:35 a.m. after police were called to the area for reports of gunshots, Springfield police said. Cartagena was dead when officers arrived. Police are investigating the slaying. Officers ask anyone with information about the slaying to contact Springfield detectives at 413-787-6355.

$1M Lottery Jackpot: Mass Man Turns In Winning Ticket Bought In Foxborough A trust has claimed the $1 million prize purchased last week at a Foxborough gas station. The Regional Magnet Nominee Trust of West Bridgewater collected the check from the "100X Cash" $10 scratch-off ticket. The winner's name was not released, but Scott Bradley, a trustee, picked up the check. The ticket was purchased at Mobil gas station at 123 Central St. in Foxborough.
