Benjamin A. Liberati, Valhalla resident, dies

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - Benjamin A. Liberati 92, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on July 5, 2011 at his residence.

He was born on July 18, 1918 to the late Achille and Carmella (nee Bova) Liberati in Yonkers, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Air Force during WWII.

Benny was Co-Owner of D&B Luncheonette in Hawthorne, N.Y. and a member of the Mt.Pleasant Seniors and Hawthorne American Legion Post # 112.

He is survived by his devoted wife Mary (nee Kemp) Liberati of Valhalla, N.Y. His loving children; Daniel (Lois) Liberati of Eastchester, N.Y., Donna (Robert) Hayes of Kent, Conn. and Patty Anne (Joseph) Caradonna of Valhalla, N.Y. two Sisters, Amelia Rubeo of Yonkers, N.Y. and Carmella Mercurio of Mahopac, N.Y. Also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren; Michael, Peter, Allison (Justin), Gregory (Gina), Jaclyn, Christopher, Nicholas and Joseph, Jr. and one great granddaughter Grace Ann. Predeceased by his three brothers; Daniel, Vincent and Dominick and four sisters; Margaret Koppola, Katherine Bartolotti, Anna LoRicco and Antoinette Servidio.

Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Thursday (today) 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday 11:30 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester 311 North Street, Suite 204 White Plains, N.Y. 10605 would be appreciated.
