Child Pornographer Registered in Valhalla

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – A registered sex offender has recently moved into Valhalla, according to a report the Westchester County Department of Public Safety sent to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.Josef Reutershan, 46 of Valhalla, is a registered level 3 sex offender after being convicted of multiple sex crimes in relation to child pornography in August of 2009. Reutershan was convicted of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17 years old and disseminating indecent materials to minors, both class D felonies. Reutershan was also convicted of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old, a class E felony. The victim was determined to be a 15 year old male stranger.Reutershan was given a sentence of 1-3 year(s) in a state prison by the Westchester County Court. He currently resides at the Grasslands Homeless Shelter at 25 Operations Drive in Valhalla and is a previous resident of 20 Lee Avenue in Scarsdale.
