Con Ed’s tree work: The tree trimming and removal of trees in the village's right of way continues as a part of Con Ed’s program to “harden” the power lines. Con Ed is to have contacted homeowners where work is to be done especially where some of the trees may be on private property but a threat to the power lines. Further trimming is expected as well as tree removal over the next several weeks. Con Ed gas main work/restoration. I can only report slow progress but I know it’s taking a long time.

Leaf/debris pick-up: The first loop of ofur Fall clean-up has begun. It is obvious that the trees are slow in letting go but they will be coming down sooner or later. Please do not mix branches or twigs with the leaves the leaf vacuum jammed.

Veterans Day: Nov. 11. Comingled recyclables (plastic, metal cans and glass) pick-up is being moved to Thursday, Nov. 12.
