Death Of 2-Year-Old In Westchester Considered Suspicious

Police are investigating the “suspicious” death of a toddler who was found dead an apartment building on Monday night in Westchester.

The 2-year-old was found inside the Esplande Gardens apartment complex in Mount Vernon by his mother at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, according to multiple reports. He was reportedly found unresponsive by his mother, who rushed him to a local hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.

The death has been deemed “suspicious,” as the investigation into the fatal incident continues. No cause of death has been provided, and the boy’s identity has not yet been released.

According to an ABC-7 report, the boy’s father was the last person to see him before he was found unconscious.
