The many thoughts, ideas and concerns that people expressed are being pulled together.

Volunteers are needed to join two advisory committees. One of these will focus on the revitalization efforts, and one will review and analyze the village’s Comprehensive Plan.

The plan's focus is on the existing B zone districts for potential alternate uses for those properties. Call the village clerk or Zegarelli, if interested.

Law Park Pavilion Update

Competitive bids have been opened and awarded for the rebuild and expansion of the pavilion.

The village should be holding a contractor’s mobilization session as a kickoff for work targeting construction completion and full operation for a spring opening.

Department of Public Works

Tips on winterizing your lawn sprinkler system, from the Department of Public Works:

  • Make sure that you or your plumber drains your lawn sprinkler system for the year.
  • Compressed air should be used to “blow out” water that could be lying in the piping or sprinkler heads.
  • Water lying in low areas or the “saddle” of the system, especially, could expand causing undetectable leaks.
  • While we will remind you in the spring, when you re-energize your sprinkler, you should test the system again.
  • Turn off all water use in the house; turn on the sprinkler service valve but do not activate the timer or moisture actuator.
  • Thereafter, a quick check of your water meter head (especially the small triangular “spinner”) may show that the water is actually running.
  •  If it does, your sprinkler system may have been damaged, potentially causing a huge leak and even bigger bill from the village.
