- The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Westchester County due to heavy rainfall of more than 4 inches predicted between Thursday and Saturday. Showers began early Thursday morning and thunderstorms hit the area in the afternoon.
- A Valhalla man was arrested early Tuesday after Westchester County Police said they discovered a large cache of commercial-grade fireworks stacked floor-to-ceiling in his basement on Saldi Lane. Police evacuated the area around the home Tuesday and closed the streets to traffic until the explosive material was removed.
- A Pleasantville martial arts instructor has been inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Thomas McCusker has owned Chinese Martial Arts and Educational Center on Bedford Road in Pleasantville since 2005. McCusker was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame for “his continued excellence in martial arts.”
