Volunteers from Valhalla-based Fujifilm spent the day beautifying Kensico Dam Plaza as part of their 10th annual volunteer day on Sept. 13. He added, "This donation supports our company's goal to improve the quality of life by reducing CO2 emssions, the county's consumption of gasoline, as well as the noise. We are especially glad to be helping the community in which we live and work."

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino thanked Fuji and said that the event was a wonderful example of how business and government can come really come together.

Friends of Westchester County Parks Board Chair Liz Bracken-Thompson concluded the public presentation with a key exchange. She said, "With budgets as tight as they are in our current econmic climate, we truly appreciate the contributions made by companies such as Fujifilm, and their employees. These donations of time and money help improve our parks at no additional cost to the taxpayer."

The carts will be used at key Westchester County Parks where the need is greatest, with one or more stationed permanently at Kensico Dam Plaza. Carts will also be employed at Playland Park in Rye, Muscoot Farm in Somers, Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson. Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers and Glen Island Park in New Rochelle.
