Hydrant Flushing Tops Briarcliff Village Manager's Report

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Hydrant flushing will take place outside the village of Briarcliff Manor corporate limits on Carlton Avenue and all side streets Monday through Friday, according to Village Manager Philip Zegarelli’s latest report.

Residents can expect discolored water during the day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Con Ed's work continues on Pleasantville Road with gas main installation between Buckhout Road east towards the Briarcliff Manor Middle and High School. 

Library and Community Center:

The Chocolate Olympics will take place for fourth-graders and above on Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. To register, contact Amy Kaplan at 914-941-7072 or abgkaplan@gmail.com.

Award-winning writers from South Asia will read from their works Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. Books will be available for purchase and signing, and light refreshments will be served. 

"Race" will screen Friday at 7:30 p.m. People may bring their own refreshments.

The library will exhibit photographs and drawings by Allison H. Midgley on the second floor until Friday, July 29. An artist reception will take place Sunday, July 24, from 2-4 p.m.

Recreation and Parks:

Registration is still open for some of the Specialty Camp Programs for later this summer, including PlayWell Teknologies LEGO Camps, IncrediFlix Movie Making Camps, Engineering for Kids camps and soccer camps offered in conjunction with Briarcliff Youth Soccer Club. All village tennis courts are open. Permits are required.

A new recycling container will be placed at the youth center basketball court. The court is open from 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m. 

Mayor and Board of Trustees: 

The next Board of Trustees work session and meeting take place Wednesday ar Village Hall. The work session is at 7 p.m. and will be followed by the regular meeting at 8 p.m.
