Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Route 9A Near Multiplex Cinemas ID'd

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- The motorcyclist heading north on Route 9A who was killed after crashing into a car going in the opposite direction at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday in Hawthorne has been ID'd.

Verplanck resident Sean Peterson, 44, was riding a 1995 Harley Davidson when he crashed into a southbound Honda Accord, attempting to turn left onto Old Saw Mill River Road, according to lohud.com.

A passenger in the Honda Accord was also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries the report said.

The investigation of the crash, which caused a traffic tie-up, is continuing.
