Man Stopped In Right Lane On Sprain In Hawthorne Charged With Dwai

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks charged a Putnam Valley man with driving while ability impaired by drugs on the Sprain Brook Parkway on Monday, according to officials.

Michael F. Savino, 30, was allegedly stopped in the right hand lane of the parkway when troopers conducted a welfare check. Authorities suspected Savino of being impaired by drugs, police said. 

Savino is scheduled to appear in Greenburgh Court on March, 19, police said.
