More Than A Thousand Without Power In Northern Westchester Amid Nor'easter

More than one thousand Northern Westchester residents find themselves without power with hundreds more experiencing outages in Putnam County amid Friday's Nor'easter.

In Cortlandt, 519 Con Edison customers were reporting service interruptions, while Yorktown (347 customers), Peekskill (five), Buchanan (103), Croton-on-Hudson (42), North Castle (66), Mount Kisco (one) and Mount Pleasant (238) also reporting outages. Service is expected to be restored by the afternoon.

NYSEG is reporting an additional 39 outages in northeast Westchester, and 448 in Putnam County.

According to the National Weather Service, winds are expected to reach up to 50 mph, with a mix of snow and rain in the area over the afternoon. Several inches of snow are expected to accumulate.
