Mount Pleasant Holds Public Hearing On Proposed Water-Rate Increase

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Mount Pleasant will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m., at Town Hall to discuss and establish new water rates.

The proposal would increase the rate for water consumption to the following amounts in the following water districts:

  • Meadowbrook Water District: $ 8.60 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Mill River Road Water District: $11.00 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Pleasantville Ext-Water District: $10.30 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Pleasantville Road Water District (Pace University): $9.95 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Pleasantville Road Water District: $8.40 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Valhalla Water District: $3.65 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Hawthorne Water District: $3.65 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Pleasant Ridge Water District: $3.30 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Old Farm Hill Water District: $3.15 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Apple Hill Farm Water District: $4.40 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Pocantico Water District: $3.05 per 100 cubic feet 
  • Thornwood Water District: $4.90 per 1000 gallons 
  • Bear Ridge Lake Water District: $9.85 per 1000 gallons 

New rates would take effect for the billing period that begins on Dec. 1.
