Mount Pleasant Police Investigate Theft From Car

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. –A Katonah man told Mount Pleasant Police Sunday that his car was broken into in the Kensico Dam Plaza.

The victim told police that his car was parked near the entrance to the part located in the Plaza. The Katonah resident said his wallet, keys and cell phone was taken while he was walking in the park. No arrest has been made.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department received a call for a domestic violence report on Sept. 8 and arrested Nicole Taub, 22. Taub, of Pleasantville, was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly assaulting her mother.

On Sept. 7, two separate Thornwood residents told Mount Pleasant Police that their cars had been tampered and the air had been let out of their tires. Both residents parked their cars in an empty lot located off Elwood Avenue before taking a train from the nearby Hawthorne Train Station. No damage was reported to either car and no arrest has been made.

On Sept. 6, a 46-year-old Valhalla resident reported that his apartment on South Kensico Avenue was broken into. The resident said $2,500 in cash was stolen. No arrest has been made.
