However, the kiddie, slide and dive pool are open, they said.

With the region well into a weekend heatwave, the town has set up sprinklers in the park’s play area for children to cool off in.

It also was running an adult swim time on the hour.

Because of the limited space, pool members were asked not to bring guests.

According to News 12, a neighboring club in Thornwood is coming to the rescue with an offer of letting residents use its pool while repairs are made.

The Westwood Swimming & Tennis Association is at 592 Columbus Ave. It can be reached at (914)-769-4577.

It took firefighters and paramedics several hours Wednesday to dismantle the drain and free the child.

His mother was with him during the rescue operation.

He was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Other places folks can go to swim include: Croton Point Park Beach in Croton-on-Hudson, Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, Playland Park Beach in Rye, FDR State Park Pool in Yorktown, and Saxon Woods Park in White Plains.
