Mount Pleasant Police searched for a man who unsuccessfully attempted to rob the Hudson Valley Bank on Marble Avenue on Monday afternoon. The man passed a note to a teller asking for money with no dye packs, though the teller did not comply and the man left without any money.
Hawthorne Elementary School students celebrated going green and recycling initiatives this week in honor of Earth Day, including a celebration of Waste-Free Lunch Day on Friday.
Mount Pleasant joined the rest of the country in expressing shock over the bombings Monday at the Boston Marathon . Three people were killed and more than 175 injured in the attacks. No arrests have been made.
