Mount Pleasant Police searched for a man who unsuccessfully attempted to rob the Hudson Valley Bank on Marble Avenue on Monday afternoon. The man passed a note to a teller asking for money with no dye packs, though the teller did not comply and the man left without any money.

Hawthorne Elementary School students celebrated going green and recycling initiatives this week in honor of Earth Day, including a celebration of Waste-Free Lunch Day on Friday.
