- Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York State lawmakers were able to pass a $140 billion budget that provides tax relief for businesses, homeowners and renters.
- The children of New York gubernatorial candidate County Executive Rob Astorino will be among thousands of students boycotting the New York State Common Core English Language Arts exam, Astorino announced in a video.
- A 14-year-old boy was arrested and accused of phoning in a false bomb threat to Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County Police said.
- A 19-year-old visitor to Sing Sing State Prison in Ossining, Terra M. Duffney, of Troy , was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband after being accused of bringing marijuana into the prison, according to state police.
