Pleasantville Ambulance Corps Helps Flood Victims

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps is collecting items to be donated to upstate Schoharie County after most of the area has been damaged due to floods that followed Tropical Storm Irene.

The ambulance corps is collecting the following items: work boots, work and rubber gloves, hammers, wrenches, dust masks, safety goggles, industrial garbage bags, flat shovels, bleach, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, mops, squeegees, sponges, clothing, military ready pouches, and water.

All items can be dropped off at 48 Marble Avenue in Pleasantville at the old Pleasantville Ambulance Corp headquarters.

The items will be delivered to Schoharie County Fire Departments Sept. 12-16 and Sept. 18.

The Pleasantville Ambulance Corps is currently located in Thornwood and is comprised entirely of volunteers.
