Pleasantville School Board, Student Leaders Discuss Underage Drinking

Solutions to curb underage drinking were discussed at the meeting.

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pleasantville Board of Education and the student government held a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 3, to discuss the growing problem of underage drinking, according to theexaminernews.com. 

Among solutions discussed that could be instituted at the school level to help curb underage drinking were the creation of a village youth court that would be run by trained student-judges and counseling sessions from high school students to sixth- and seventh-graders about the dangers associated with drinking, theexaminernews.com reported.
