Rare Supermoon Will Have Mount Plesant Residents Seeing Red

Look up in the sky for rare celestial event that will create a red moon to been seen over the area on Sunday, Sept. 27.

It's been more than 30 years since this phenomena of a supermoon and a lunar eclipse coinciding and, it won't be seen again until 2033, according to MSN News.

A supermoon appears when a full moon moves into a certain point in Earth's orbit causing it to appear larger and brighter. A lunar eclipse is when the moon passes behind Earth and into its shadow, according to MSN News.
