An emaciated poodle was found abandoned in the crate outside of an abandoned South 4th Street home in Mount Vernon on Oct. 19. Officials said that it was determined that the dog had been left intentionally and left to die.

Since being rescued, and treated by veterinarians at the Scarsdale Animal Hospital, the dog is in better spirits and celebrated Halloween on Tuesday.

Best Bullies Rescue and a private donor have offered the reward that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever abandoned the dog in Mount Vernon. Anyone with information can confidentially contact officials by calling (914) 941-7797 with the tip.
