Rise In Crime Is Reported On Metro-North

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – A transit report released by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Monday states crime has been on the rise on Metro North Railroad since 2014, reports CBS New York.

According to the report, 107 felonies were reported in the first eight months of 2014, compared to 91 in 2013. MTA Spokeswoman Marjorie Anders stated riders are safe, as most crimes involve property.
