MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Mount Pleasant and Valhalla last week:
- The Valhalla High School campus, at 300 Columbus Ave., was evacuated Wednesday morning after a faulty sensor set off the school’s fire alarm.
- The heavy rain accompanying the Nor'easter that is sweeping through Westchester resulted in the closure of portions of the Bronx River Parkway, Hutchinson River Parkway and Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester on Tuesday.
- One employee from Westchester and one from Putnam were charged during an underage drinking enforcement operation in Westchester County on Friday, Nov. 28, according to a release by the New York State Police.
- Both the town and Education First (EF) International Academy are pleased that Mount Pleasant is the new home for the international boarding school.
