Police are asking the public for help in locating an area man who hasn't been seen or heard from since Monday.

Patrick Vidal, 54, was reported missing on Tuesday after he did not report to work and was unable to be located by family and friends, said City of Poughkeepsie Police.

Vidal, who may be suicidal, is described as being a black male, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, and was last seen Monday at 4 p.m. when he left work, police added.

He is believed to be driving a black 2003 Ford Explorer with New York license plate GMA-2793.

Anyone with information regarding Vidal, his whereabouts or the location of his vehicle are asked to contact the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department at 845-451-4000 or the tip line at 845-451-7577.
