ALBANY, N.Y. – New York State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins is asking constituents to weigh in on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's budget proposal.

Stewart-Cousins' website features a webform for any residents wishing to send comments on Cuomo's budget proposal directly to her email address. Stewart-Cousins says she will take each comment into consideration during upcoming hearings, negotiations and votes.

"Governor Cuomo's budget tackles a broad range of critical issues facing our state, from education reform to economic development and investment in infrastructure,” she said. “These are the right discussions to have, and this is the right time to have them.  But as we hash out the details here in Albany, I want to make sure the people of Westchester and New York have ample opportunities to weigh in.”

Cuomo released his proposed budget on Tuesday. The proposed budget closes a $3.5 billion deficit while highlighting his proposed education overhaul and efforts to bring in $25 billion in economic activity from public-private partnerships. The budget would not raise taxes.

More information on Cuomo's proposed budget can be found online.
