PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. Carlos Bernard and co-owner Susana Lara have been offering printing and marketing services at Sir Speedy in Pleasantville for 20 years. Recently, they announced that they will be offering a mobile marketing service in order to improve the outreach capabilities of their customers.
"We want to reinvent ourselves to get away from the traditional print methods of marketing in order to help our customers reach their customers better,"
This mobile marketing service includes the abilities to create a mobile website, text message marketing, mobile application advertisements and Quick Response (QR) code creation.
"In the digital world there's so many ways for a company to reach their customers so it's important for them to utilize as many as they can in order to ensure they are reaching their optimal market," Bernard said.
Quick Response codes can be very helpful to a business and many large corporations have been using them in their marketing plans for a few years now. Customers can scan the square-shaped codes into their smartphones and receive a digital promotion or coupon, rather than being forced to print them. The process is said to be both environmentally and economically friendly.
Bernard said he believes that the amount of Americans who can utilize these mobile opportunities is growing exponentially.
"The amount of people that use smartphones today is enormous and it's only going to continue to grow, the market for business to reach through this is amazing," he said.
From a cost standpoint, Sir Speedy has purchased the required software to create these marketing tools and will then charge based on the customer's or business' desires. Bernard says that they are still in the process of figuring out that strategy.
"We've been speaking with other Sir Speedys in North Carolina that have taken this initiative to see what price points have been successful," Bernard says.
