Slideshow: Local Band Plays at Mt. Pleasant Library

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department band performed at the Mount Pleasant Public Library Monday evening in a free concert.

Above is a photo slideshow from the concert.

Due to inclement weather, the concert, which was originally scheduled to be on the lawn in front of the library, was moved indoors.

The band is the oldest fire department band in the State of New York, having been active for over 70 years. The group of volunteers frequently plays for local senior citizen groups, parades and holiday concerts.

The concert is part of the August at the Library series of programs that are held at the public library this month. For more information on these programs, visit the library's website .
