Stay Warm In Mount Pleasant During Nor'easter

VALHALLA, N.Y. ‒ With thousands still without power and a nor'easter expected to hit Mount Pleasant, the town is offering places where residents can stay warm.

Town Hall in Valhalla will remain open as a shelter 24 hours a day until further notice. It has heat, electricity, food and water, and pets are welcome. 

The Mount Pleasant Public Library's main location in Pleasantville as well as its branch location in Valhalla will be open with heat, electricity and WiFi. 

Pace University will open Wilcox Hall on its Pleasantville campus as a warming center. The center will be open Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wilcox Hall is best accessed by Entrance 1 on Bedford Road. 

As of Wednesday morning, 1,369 Mount Pleasant customers were still without power.
