Stephen V. DeMicco, 66, Longtime Valhalla Schools Teacher

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Stephen V. DeMicco of Pleasantville died March 17. He was 66.

DeMicco was born in the Bronx on June 6, 1946, son of Vincent and Mae (Pendergast) DeMicco. He held a Masters in Physics from NYU, a Masters in Computer Science from Brooklyn Poly Tech and a Masters from Iona in Finance. DeMicco was a teacher at Valhalla Union Free School District for 35 years, retiring in 2008.

He was the past chairman of the Mt. Pleasant Republican Party and a past member of the Mount Pleasant Town Board. He was a parishioner of the Church of St. John & St. Mary in Chappaqua.

DeMicco is survived by his wife, Rosanne (Mastrangelo); sisters Dorothy and Jean; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday March 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday March 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 22, at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. John & St. Mary, Little Church, Chappaqua, N.Y. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
